This list currently has 1486 members, which is quite a sizeable number. I apologize for keeping so many Sanskrit lovers worldwide from interacting via discussions due to my inability to moderate the high-volume emails on a timely basis. It's time I step aside and let the bhaashaamR^itam flow freely again. If no one comes forward, I'd like to retire the sanskrit mailing list at the Univ of Utah site. Internet-based collaboration options have progressed enormously since the Sanskrit mailing list started back in 1996. You can now create and manage mailing lists and discussion groups much more effectively and easily on public sites like yahoo and googlegroups to continue discussions related to sanskrit. All administration tasks for maintaining the existing list can be done over the web interface, so it's easy. If someone has better ideas on taking this group somewhere that uses better technology, I will help you transition to it as well.
