But when Dileep was first around , Delhi was not there . It was called Indraprastha . So the name Dileep has nothing to do with Delhi or Dilli . It is a mystery that Nirukta of this name is not available . I'm not sure but I believe there was some conflict with regard to who the Aryans were (if they were even a race of people) and I believe that Muller was caught up in the conflict. I have never heard anything about Muller doing anything to purposely discredit Hindu culture either.
