*Title                    Senior Oracle Apps DBA/Client Delivery Lead*

*Location             Troy, MI*

*Duration              Full Time*



In general, DBA will oversee technical and client delivery aspects for
several clients in multiple industries.  DBA will be involved in setting
technical direction for key initiatives and running governance/status
meetings with client management.  DBA will be assigned work (or delegate
work) via e-mails from Vigilant or client ticketing system.  Client work
may be ongoing DBA support or project based work.  DBA will be expected to
keep the ticketing system updated and communicate with Vigilant and client
resources on a daily basis, both in writing and verbally.  DBA will be
expected to technically mentor more junior DBAs.  DBA must be very
comfortable presenting/articulating technical solutions to all audiences,
both technical and non-technical.



DBA will function in a technical sales capacity as well.  DBA will attend
sales presentations and provide technical thought leadership during these
presentations.



DBA should be up to date on latest technical trends, particularly relating
to Oracle Applications.



DBA will also be expected to proactively monitor databases and suggest
overall improvements to the client’s environment.  In some cases, DBA will
be the sole resource on a client.  In other cases, they will be part of a
bigger team.  DBA will be on call during off hours for production support
level 1 issues.  In general, these occur very infrequently (4 times per
year)



*Hard Skills Required:*

·         Responsible for the support and maintenance of the multiple
oracle, EBS databases and applications

·         Expertise in Patching, Cloning and refreshes, Exports and
Imports, Configuration change management, sysadmin activities relating
Oracle Applications as well as database

·         Expertise in OEM.

·         RMAN Configurations, Backups, RMAN Cloning

·         Good knowledge on Backups and Recovery scenarios – Hot & Cold
Backups

·         Maintenance of Oracle Applications 11i and R12

·         Installations/upgrades (DB and Apps upgrade), maintenance of
objects using Adadmin, DB upgrades

·         Implementing SYSADMIN tasks

·         Daily database and applications health check.

·         Responsible for analyzing the need for applying the patches to
the Applications database.

·         Maintaining the system using AD Utilities and autoconfig

·         Create and manage table spaces monitor the data files space,
resizing and adding new data file’s etc

·         Troubleshooting skills like Concurrent manager issues, Apache
issues, Setup custom managers, Performance tuning

·         Experience with web logic and middleware

·         Experience with SOA and Single Sign On

·         Must be very proficient in writing and speaking English
