*Duration: 10 month contract* *Qualifications – External:* - Responsible for programming and software development using various programming languages and related tools and frameworks, reviewing code written by other programmers, requirement gathering, bug fixing, testing, documenting and implementing software systems. - Experienced programmers are also responsible for interpreting architecture and design, code reviews, mentoring, guiding and monitoring programmers, ensuring adherence to programming and documentation policies, software development, testing and release. *Required Skills and Experience:* - You assign, coordinate, and review work and activities of programming personnel. - Collaborate with computer manufacturers and other users to develop new programming methods. - Supervise, train, mentor junior level programmers in programming and program coding. - Represent team in project meetings. - Work with business and functional analysts, and software & solution architects in ensuring that programs and systems function as intended Supervise, mentor and manage large teams of programmers in one or more projects. - Represent project teams in project or program meetings or in meetings with sponsor. - 6 to 12 years experience, Bachelor’s Degree. - Must have experience in Software Engineering Techniques, Software Engineering Architecture, Software Engineering Lifecycle and Data Management. - Should be proficient in Business Analysis, Business Knowledge, Software Engineering Leadership, Architecture Knowledge and Technical Solution Design. - System Engineer - Kafka Focused - Primary assignment will be supporting Kafka and Websphere environments hosting internally developed applications. - Environments supported include Web Servers and Tomcat based environments - Respond to environment problems and implement resolution efforts across technology areas. - Functions as a System Engineer specializing in Web Services in the SDLC in Kafka, Web Sphere, Tomcat or TCSserver, Apache, Web Server, an dWeb Logic - Demonstrate expert knowledge and skills implementing and troubleshooting clustering, JMS, JDBC - Conduct performance tuning of JAVA or JEE or JSE applications and platforms *Requirements:* - 3 plus years working with Kafka - Strong Linux and shell scripting experience (must be very strong) - 5 to 7 plus years of IBM WebSphere or Weblogic or Tomcat or TC Server administration, configuration, troubleshooting, and deployments - Primary focus should be in EMS or Messaging. - Experience with Apache based web servers, with advanced configuration, troubleshooting - JAVA or JEE or JSE applications and platforms experience - Broad coverage of TCServer (Tomcat) and Apache on Linux - Strong understanding and background managing and supporting middleware components serving or hosting Java applications in a Linux environment - Strong system integrations experience - Troubleshooting (primarily non production) - Good security practices - Strong Apache Kafka skills coupled with very good Java Experience (Tomcat or TC Server). - Good communication, independent thinker or problem solver, able to work on own in an aggressive environment - Experience developing Java tools and utilities is a plus - Knowledge of the airline business is a plus - Working knowledge of Oracle RAC - Apache messaging resource with Kafka experience - This role requires no management of other resources, but instead the resource must have good time management skills. - Candidates will be expected to perform tasks on their own - Candidates will be working with the client on a daily basis. - Strong communication skills are a must - Must be accountable for their own work*.* Best Regards, *Fredric Miller | Sr. Recruiter*Pull Skill Technologies, Inc.
