*Here is the Job Description:* *Senior Web DesignerNYC, NY (Need Local Only Face to Face interview)4+ months Contract* *Job Responsibilities*: Senior Web Designer: Will report to the Art Director. He or she will be responsible for brainstorming compelling brand experiences with the project team, exploring creative design concepts, executing designs based on established style guides, delivering detailed design specs to developers, and overseeing junior design team members and freelancers. *QUALIFICATIONS*: • Strong conceptual thinking • Sophisticated sense of design/style • Strong design fundamentals (type, image, color) • Passion for user experience • Strong understanding of grid systems and responsive design systems • Ability to translate complex design challenges into clear, customer-friendly experiences • Working understanding of ecommerce and marketing best practices • Discerning eye for photo editing, cropping, and compositing • Collaborative, inclusive and flexible team member • Resourceful self-starter who gets things done • Highly organized with extreme attention to detail • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment • Strong communication skills required *EXPERIENCE REQUIRED*: • Bachelor’s Degree (Design / Interactive) or equivalent experience • Proven talent in graphic and interactive design • 3-5 years Web design in an agency or a brand • Mastery of appropriate tools & technology • Advanced Photoshop, with excellent digital photo-manipulation and compositing skills • Working knowledge Illustrator, Flash ActionScript & InDesign • Knowledge of best practices for Web image optimization • Understanding of the capabilities and best practices relating to the use of front-end Web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Flash, AJAX • Motion graphics & video editing experience for web (After Effects & Final Cut Pro) a plus • Relevant creative background • Proven talent in graphic and interactive design • Strong retail/fashion brand or agency experience desired; ecommerce experience ideal • Experience delivering on business and creative goals through design • Experience overseeing or editing copy a plus • Design for mobile UI Best Regards, Sam Nelson Resource Development Manager GM InfoTech LLC.
