I have a position with our direct client in DC,*Looking for LINUX / VM Ware engineer with experience with Window skills.* Job type: Contract Location :DC Duration: 8 months Provide comprehensive deployment and administration of Linux and VMware environments, applications, deployments and data sources within a Unix / Linux (Red Hat) enterprise. Responsibilities include serving as a Linux expert to set technical standards and requirements as well as applying a broad range of related principles and practices. DESIRED REQUIREMENTS: • Strong understanding of server and application health monitoring • Experience in defining and implementing system update methodologies • Experience supporting and implementing system monitoring • Experience in supporting web based applications on Linux • Basic knowledge of Oracle SQL • Experience with Linux and Veritas File System Management • Experience with VMware virtualized environments, including vSphere 5.x (ESXi) and vCenter Server • Experience with the HP-UX operating system and san based storage solutions a plus • Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
