Respond to and escalate all anomalies in a timely manner to ensure network availability. • Troubleshoot, triage, and resolve Layer 1 and Layer 2 problems related to hardware, software, or protocols issues. • Respond to inbound requests and efficiently route reports as necessary. • Complete troubleshooting documentation by recording all of the steps taken to resolve any issues. • Prioritize and resolve trouble/change tickets as effectively and efficiently as possible. • Facilitate the quick resolution of any issues by utilizing established processes and interacting with NOC agents, engineering, vendors and customers. • Act as the primary point of contact for customers and vendors throughout issue resolution. • Remotely and locally provision customer/network services (Layers 1, 2, and 3 over Fiber) on Juniper OS devices. • Install routers, switches and ancillary hardware (cables, racks, wall mounts, etc.) at customer locations to ensure optimal service in a timely manner. • Utilize a Network Management System (SolarWinds or PRTG) to provision customer/network links and end points. *Required Skills:* • 3+ years of experience in a troubleshooting and provisioning role in a 24x7 Network Operations Center (NOC) or Technical Support Environment supporting Cable, DOCSIS, CCAPS and HFC Access networks from Cisco. • 2+ years of experience managing inbound trouble/change reports. • 2+ years of experience using Network Management Systems (SolarWinds, Netcool, PRTG, or WhatsUp Gold. • 3+ years of experience troubleshooting and resolving transport related problems (Ethernet, OCx, SONET, Fiber Optic, DWDM). 3+ years of experience troubleshooting Layer 2 based protocols (L2TP, STP, RSTP, VLAN, and VTP). • 2+ years of experience provisioning Layer 2 and Layer 3 End User Services. • 2+ years of experience mounting and racking hardware (routers, switches, and servers). • 2+ years of experience making and running Ethernet cabling. • Must have a working knowledge of firewalls and network security protocols. • Ability to work 1st and 2nd shift, as well as on-call as needed. *Desired Skills:* • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Networking, or Electrical/Electronic Engineering. • Prior field service experience. • Experience troubleshooting Layer 3 routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, RIP, IS-IS, and EIGRP). • Experience troubleshooting VPN problems (L2VPN, VPLS) and traffic related problems (QoS, RSVP). • Working knowledge of UNIX systems (BSD, Linux, and Solaris) and programming and scripting (Perl and SQL). • Working knowledge of Domain Name Services (DNS) and policies. • Working knowledge of FTTx (using GPON, EPON, or Active E solutions). *Thanks & Regards,* *Satish* Recruiter, Teknotrics Inc *425-458-7070 ext 108* | *sat...@teknotrics.com <sat...@teknotrics.com>* | | *www.teknotrics.com <http://www.teknotrics.com/>* | -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAP ABAP" group.
