The candidate should have over 5 years DBA experience dedicated to DB2 LUW. The experience should include large databases in excess of 30TB partitioned over multiple servers. In addition to BCU experience, the candidate should have experience with DB2 LUW v9.7, Work Load Manager (WLM), Q-Replication, DB backups using NetBackup, high availability using HADR, and AIX scripting. Primary duties for project implementations and production support include recoverability and availability assurance activities including database backups, disaster recovery and high availability solutions. Proactive performance consultation, design, tuning, and planning. Implement and test effective database monitoring.
