*POSITION DESCRIPTION:* The Oracle Architect-Data Modeler is a goal
oriented, task driven decision-maker with a strong sense of accountability,
focused on improving productivity, profitability and business processes
related to Call Tracking / Service Request Management solutions. This role
requires a business focused individual who has a global perspective and an
ability to translate business requirements into IT deliverables. This role
uses strong Oracle data architect and data modeling skills to engage with
the business unit and other functional areas within Global IT to help meet
and maintain business needs for Call Tracking solutions.



*POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: *

·         Data Architecture and Data Modeling -Create/update an As Is and
To Be data models

·         Owns the review of the business unit’s current call center data
model and either documents it (logical and physical model) or updates the
documentation for the current “As Is” data model and data dictionary

·         Documents the future state “To Be” logical and physical data
model and data dictionary

·         Works with Business Analysts to understand the data impacts of
the new enhancements and interface/integrations

·         Work with business users and business analysts to understand the
business and application requirements.

·         Provide direction/recommendations for performance improvements
(interactive response times)

·         Communicates and partners with the reporting data architect to
make sure data model changes correctly flow into reporting space.

·         Architect the communications/interface between the current call
center tracking application and Guided Tree Logic - (Advanced Development
Framework- ADF)

·         Interfaces with the BI Strategy/Architecture - Reporting Team

·         Responsible for review and approval of all functional and design
specifications

·         Provides knowledge transfer to the support team

·         Develops an understanding of the data – what it is, where it
comes from, where it goes, what is done with it.

·         Translate the identified business requirements into a logical and
physical data models.

·         Works with business users and business analysts to develop
logical and physical data models

·         Facilitates all project data modeling sessions.

·         Works with developers and database administrators to transform
logical data model to physical model.

·         Develops data flow diagrams illustrating system interfaces.

·         Modifies and maintains existing data models to support new
business requirements.



*EDUCATION REQUIRED: *

•        Bachelor’s Degree

•        10+ years professional experience, or 8+ years professional
experience with a Master’s degree

•        5+ years of Oracle DBA and Data Modeling Experience

*DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS *

•        Experience with Oracle 10G

•        Experience using Oracle ADF framework and Jdeveloper for
application development

•        Experience with deployment on Weblogic 10.3

•        Experience with Oracle Forms 10g

•        Experience with Oracle PL/SQL.**
