Title: Oracle DBA - US Citizens or Green Card: 3 Months CTH posted on 2014-06-10 17:46:29 Job Description: We are looking for and Oracle DBA - US Citizens or Green Card: 3 Months CTH Position: Oracle DBA Location: Columbia, MD Duration: Long Term - 3 Months CTH Interview Process: Phone Hire Job Requirements: Experience: 7+ Years Number of openings: 1 Employment Type: Contract/1099/C2C/W2 Work authorization: US Citizens or Green Card Holders Rate: Market Skills: Oracle DBA, PL/SQL, SQL, Stored Procedures, Large Database Environment, RAC, ASM, Clusterware, OCFS2, RMAN, AWR/ADDM, Performance Tuning, LINUX Details: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Tasks critical to completion of daily workload) As a Sr. Oracle Database Administrator, you will take care of day-to-day DBA tasks and project work, some of which are: * Contributing to 24x7x365 staff coverage, through On-call DBA rotation * Implementation of new stored procedures and scripts, resolve complex stored procedure compilation issues, fix errors due to object grants/dependencies. * Experience with PL/SQL Development and knowledge of SQL queries(preferably nested queries) * Expert level knowledge of creating and maintaining Tables, Partitioning, indexes, Global Temporary Tables, Triggers, stored procedures in a large multi terabyte database environment. * Refreshing development & test schema/tables using Export/import, Datapump * Execution of all Oracle database tasks within client's Database Service Level guarantees * Monitoring, troubleshooting & resolution of failed tasks & Oracle database issues, taking action on issues reported by proactive monitoring setup and having a sense of urgency to fix issues ASAP. * User Account Management – creating database users and assigning quota, roles, privileges, password management, resolving connectivity issues due to listener/tnsnames/odbc etc. * Expert hands-on experience on setup and installation of Oracle RAC, ASM, Clusterware, OCFS2 in a large multi node RAC setup preferably on Linux O.S. * Strong Oracle RMAN backup & recovery skills and ability to restore & recover databases/tablespaces quickly up to a point in time. * Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager including use of Performance Tuning and Diagnostics packs (AWR/ADDM) to resolve complex performance issues. * Installing Oracle software, Creating Databases, schema. Knowledge of storage from a database perspective including ASM Disk Groups, tablespaces, datafile. * Performance Tuning of Oracle Database & SQL, PL/SQL Queries in a large database environment. * Working knowledge on the Linux Operating System – user commands, crontab, performance check * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as a team player * Knowledge of Oracle Streams, Active DataGuard would be an advantage. * Experience with Oracle Auditing, Fine grain Auditing, Audit vault and Database Firewall would be a plus.
