Title: SAP DBA with Mainframe Z/OS posted on 2013-12-06 09:54:41 Job Description:The consultant MUST HAVE following experience. ·Problem Analysis/Determination in SAP R/3 with IBM DB2 V9 / V10 for z/OS ·Interact with DBA’s, DB2 Engineer, DASD, Network and z/OS teams to administer and find solutions related to performance Tuning at all levels (sub-system, Applications, Database, SQL) on the fly or proactively using various tools: SAP NetWeaver, CCMS, DSC, Explain facility, and diverse SAP Transactions including Implementing system performance processes to develop system buffer and memory configuration and/or adjustments to ensure system efficiency in alignment with industry standards. ·Support internal customers and other DBA’s with issues originating in SAP systems while providing SAP/DB2 training/knowledge transfer to various DBA’s when required ·Support SAP DBA activities associated with system copy refresh activities using homogeneous system copy Procedures ·Be involved in on-call rotation and shift work ·Research SAP notes and IBM APARS/PTFs in problem resolution ·Administer a variety of activities including: SAP Router administration, kernel upgrades, modify SAP delivered code per SAP OSS notes, SAP’s Early Watch Service, 3rd party software vendors (ex: Highjump, IXOS, BSI Tax Factory, etc.), hot pack and HR support pack administration and strategic planning for system/client architecture to provide ongoing system performance and reliability. ·Plan and implement SAP NetWeaver systems upgrades. ·Plan, implement and administer archiving tools to control the database growth rate. ·Develop Disaster Recovery procedures and participate in DR testing.
