Title: Sr SQL Server DBA – for BI posted on 2014-07-02 21:54:57 Job Description:*Job Title : Sr SQL Server DBA – for BI* *Location : San Diego, CA 92127* *Duration : 6 months (possible CTH)* *Position Details*: *Qualifications:* - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Information Technology, Business or related field required. - Minimum 5+ years of professional Database Administration experience in an operational environment particularly with Microsoft SQL Server. - Minimum 5 years extensive experience in SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and SQL Server programming. - Knowledge/Experience with Windows PowerShell - Be able to provide all levels of database support *including a s**ound understanding of BI* Best Practices/Methodologies, relational structures, dimensional data modeling, structured query language (SQL) skills, data warehouse and reporting techniques. - Formulates policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management and business intelligence. - Excellent professionalism, communication, and interpersonal skills - SQL Server 2008 DBA certification is highly desirable. - Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer. *SQL Server Knowledge and Skills Required: MUST HAVE ALL* - Recent experience in MS SQL Server versions 2008/2012. - Expertise with SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS. - Extensive knowledge with T-SQL. - Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database problems; - Expertise in relational and multidimensional database schemas, designing and building OLAP (online analytical processing) cubes, applying data mining algorithms, writing queries and designing reports.
