*Role *The candidate will be working with business user teams to help develop and support multiple proprietary financial applications. This role will be 65% technical performance and 35% working directly with business users. They will be performing break fix and system enhancements on a daily basis. The should be comfortable supporting any user issue and solving issues with enhancement and performance. They will be "on call" for assigned weekends and must be comfortable being assigned off hour support when necessary. The candidate will perform unit and system testing, analysis and debugging any pl/sql or oracle issues. They will aid in the creation and installation of deployment documentation. *Must-haves *Strong development experience in PL/SQL using packages, procedures, functions Experienced in SQL*Plus commands. Practical experience with Oracle database (9i, 10g, 11g). Management of various database objects (e.g. tables, indexes, views, etc. Familiarity with data dictionaries (e.g. all_tab_columns, v$ views, etc.) Proficient in the code tuning and optimization. Can develop Oracle code that runs at optimal performance utilizing hints, cost-based optimizer, and optimal table join method practices. Familiarity with development tools such as TOAD, PL/SQL Developer, SQL Navigator.
