*EDI IT Business Analyst - Contract (Columbus, OH)Title: Business AnalystLocation: OH-Dublin-ParkwoodDuration: 6 monthsStart Date: 03/9/2015Max Pay Rate: $40-45/hr all inclusive* *Qualifications:* Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science, Business or related field preferred or equivalent work experience Minimum 5+ years of technology experience Minimum 5+ years of demonstrated business analysis experience Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational, and planning skills 3PLS (SPS) Business Process Involvement: • EDI flow implementation • EDI flow enhancements • EDI flow requests • EDI flow incidents during warranty period *Description:* JOB TITLE: IT SYSTEM/ BUSINESS ANALYS The primary role of the 3PLS (SPS) EDI IT Business Analyst (Wholesaler Implementations) is to elicit and translate 3PLS (SPS)wholesaler EDI requirements into technical specifications, maintain relationships with the wholesaler, and drive standard business processes across #PLS (SPS) EDI implementation. The BA should have an understanding of business priorities and the relative importance of their portfolio of development work. This analyst is able to identify multiple approaches to solution design/delivery and recommend the best case solution. A BA must conduct thorough business process analysis to understand existing workflows and systems, document current processes and systems, create requirements for new processes, develop use cases, and manage requirement changes. Furthermore, an IT BA must possess strong technical acumen with the ability to translate information and research into non-technical language as necessary to effectively communicate across teams. *Specific Duties, Activities, Qualities, and Responsibilities*: Interact with teams from multiple organizations to track EDI implementation progress, identify risks, communicate risks and status, and assess potential impacts to the business. Maintain documentation such as wholesaler implementation lists, wholesaler implementation status reports as required. Elicit and translate wholesaler requirements to be submitted into EDI solution delivery work stream. Maintain regular contact with both internal clients and wholesalers. Coordinate and report on implementation progress, obstacles and accomplishments. Manage requirement changes. Collaborate with quality control, cross functional team BAs, and Technical Leads to ensure Business acceptance. Develop use cases as a key communication tool between the business and technical teams. Create and maintain functional models, process flows, and wire-frame diagrams. Provide sound judgment under significant pressure. Provide leadership to help facilitate/drive resolution of wholesaler implementations and post implementation warranty issues.
