The candidate will be responsible for: *The analysis of the current data warehouse environment. *Evaluate the different options for setting up the warehouse environment in a RAC infrastructure. *Migration of existing Windows 2008R2 Oracle 11g warehouse to a Linux Oracle RAC environment. *Making recommendations for improving performance of the migration process. *Analyze the methods of transforming existing data into a format for the new environment, and the loading of this data into database structures. *Ensuring all interfaces that transfer data to and fr0m the warehouse and other applications are enabled. *Ensuring the scheduled loading routines are migrated and manageable in the Linux RAC environment. *Testing the migration process. *Validating the migration with business stewards. *Support additional Operational and Maintenance and system enhancement requests as required. * Mentor existing database staff on the administration, management, operation and maintenance of the new data warehouse environment. *Work with project teams and interact with customers to find solutions for projects and operational issues. *Serve and key resource on complex and/or critical database issues. other_information: Client reserves the right to perform background checks.
