Proficient in scripting i.e. PowerShell preferred Job Summary The Technology Security Services organization at CLIENT is a partner to the business, IT and Technology Risk Management with responsibility to represent all aspects of infrastructure security expertise & operations including architectural alignment, and identification, implementation, analysis and on-going support of security technologies. As a security engineer at CLIENT, you will be responsible for participating, advocating, and possessing industry and technology expertise to define, drive, implement, analyze and perform security operational functions. The Security Engineer works under the direction and or matrix alignment with the senior security architect and has expertise in the following: Possesses exceptional incident-response & resolution skills, and a strong understanding of advanced threat detection and forensics. Has an advanced understanding of intrusion detection and prevention protocols. Has a strong background in security events logs analysis and interpretation of information. Proficient in all aspects of networking, perimeter defense, protocols, multi-layered defense. Demonstrated experience and competency with Active Directory/eDirectory, SSO, SIEM, DLP, Password Vault technology, Identity Management platforms and related security technologies. Skilled on both Linux-based and MS Windows-based system platforms with a strong IT technical understanding and aptitude for analytical problem-solving. Strong understanding of enterprise, network, and system level security issues. Possesses a strong understanding of enterprise computing environments and networks. Understands system hardening processes, tools, guidelines and benchmarks. Fundamental or greater understanding of encryption technologies. Possesses practical experience with vulnerability scanning, firewall, antivirus, malware analysis, proxy, IDS/IPS, log correlation tools, SIEM, DLP, NAC, and firewall solutions. The Security Engineer will have direct responsibility for: Maintaining confidentiality and acting with integrity in all interactions. Supporting SOX and regulatory controls through compliance with security standards and best practices. Ensuring that security policy instituted under Technology Risk Management is carried out effectively in all of the CLIENT environments. Engaging in security related audits, and development and implementation of management action plans. Cyber security projects as a security SME from concept through to steady state implementation and on-going support. Functioning as the primary point of escalation for Managed Security Services functions. CLIENT security operations implementations and on-going steady state activities. Analysis and resolution of events escalated from Managed Security Services related to alerts from, but not limited to, SIEM, DLP, threat analysis tools and other managed security platforms. Review and approval of security exception requests. Processing security-related service requests. Participating in the change control meetings and adhering to change control procedures. Active alignment and membership in the Security Incident Response Team (SIRT) and engaging in response, analysis and resolution. Active alignment and membership in the Patching Review Board and ensures security patches for servers, equipment and applications are tested and applied timely in accordance with change control processes. Ensuring deliverables for managed security services relationships comply with the contractual commitments and security standards within the agreement. Forensic analysis support and chain of custody requirements related to investigations. Resolution of deficiencies identified through the Remediation Management Office through development of management action plans. Keeping abreast of the Security Industry movements in threats, technology and process. Maintaining industry certifications. Requirements: Minimum requirements BS in Computer Sciences/ Information Systems/related major or have a business background with an IT focus with a minimum of 5 years technical experience in security. Minimum 5 years security experience in financial services with strong understanding of regulatory requirements ie FFIEC. Current CISSP certification. SANS GIAC certifications very desirable. Working knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST, COBIT, ISO. Proficient in scripting i.e. PowerShell preferred Proficient in Visio, Excel, Power Point.
