Job description
Title: Onsite ETL QA lead for banking projects.
Role: He will be part of MTF (Managed Test Function) team onsite for Data
ware house testing projects. Primary responsibilities would be
understanding requirements, define test plan along with strategy, develop
test scenarios & test cases, conduct reviews and execute test cases. He
should be primarily interacting with offshore team (QA leads & QA testers)
and offshore team (Developers and Business analyst) for understanding
project requirements. QA testing would be executed out of ODC (Offshore
Development Center) at Bangalore. He needs setup and facilitate offshore
calls and should provide guidance for test execution and monitor for the
progress. He would be single point of contact for customer on the QA
projects.
Experience/Skills required:
Core skills (Must have):
v Overall 7+ years of experience in Testing and Data Warehouse
Testing.
v Responsible for on-time delivery of assigned Testing project
with high-quality.
v Strong Data ware house and BI concepts.
v Experience in working testing through SAP BODS, Oracle 11g
and SQL Server 2008 and Redwood Scheduler.
v Experience in working with large scale Enterprise Data
Warehouse, Data Integration, Data Migration and upgrade projects.
v Strong in SQL and PL/SQL.
v Strong background working with large data sets in Data
Warehousing and Business Intelligence environment.
v At least 3 - 5 years’ experience of working with financial
services applications.
v Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
v Strong in STLC process, Test Strategy/Plan, Test Estimation.
v Experience in team management, status reporting, project
tracking, metrics collection and reporting, revenue forecasting, end-to-end
test management.
v Effective Project & People Management Skills, exposure to
Knowledge Management. Solid time management and prioritization skills.
v Address issues in performance, scalability and manageability
in testing team efforts, adherence to quality guidelines and time lines.
v Should be able to provide technical and project guidance to
team members, enable the team to achieve the SLA defined.
v Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred skills:
v Domain knowledge & previous experience with Banking and
Financial service domain knowledge.
v Passion towards giving technical solutions and using
different testing tools.
v ETL test automation.
v Experience working with Database upgrades, tool upgrades and
Interface testing.
v Should have experience in handling multiple assignments at
same time and long with other team members.
v Should be best team player.
Professional skills:
v High level of personal commitment to each task, a can do
attitude and a drive to deliver.
v Strong communication skills to be able to communicate at all
levels.
v Ability to understand banking financial requirements.
v High level of responsibility and Ownership from inception
through to implementation.
v The candidate should have a proactive approach to problem

problem solving.
v Good testing principles as well as good defect management
skills should have experience in handling
