network. Our client, located in the  (Dallas, TX) is currently seeking a
(Webmaster) resource to join their organization. I have included a complete
job description below in case you or someone you know might be interested
in learning more.



*Role: WebmasterLocation: Dallas, TXDuration: 6+ Months Contract*


*REQUIREMENTS:*Experience and proficiency in managing systems and
applications hosted on Windows Server 2008/2012 environment
Experience and proficiency in administering IIS web servers (version 7,
7.5, 8.5)
Code Publishes
Manual (copy files)
PANDA – a legacy custom deployment tool
Octopus deployment – a commercially available software deployment tool
Setup and configure web environments - IIS, Directories, SQL Aliases, PANDA
(DEV through PROD)
Install SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, and Oracle client
Manage monthly server patching activities
Navigate through MS SCOM and Dynatrace (APM) console to verify health and
look at performance counters; understand alerts and react to them
Troubleshoot web tier issues, services and disk space
Manage ITSM queue and react to new tickets submitted by monitoring systems
and submitted requests
Monitor web tier health and performance, particularly during peak periods
(End of Month)
F5 administration for load balancing
SSL Maintenance (for existing and new websites)
Create new websites and troubleshoot related issues (including liaison with
network and security teams for getting VIPs and DNS, and verify firewall
connectivity for developers and users)
Liaison with the business community and infrastructure teams during code
outages to resolve issues
Raise incident tickets, update tickets and close out outages in ITSM tool
Ensure security procedures, monitoring setup, and standards are followed
through and executed.
Reach out to various BTS Infrastructure teams to resolve issues quickly
(network, DBA, Citrix, etc.)
Install and configure Dynatrace APM agents on application servers
Execute the pre-peak period checklist, e.g. restart servers and services
Interface with Microsoft, other vendors, and the global application team to
resolve persistent web tier issues


*SPECIFIC SKILL SETS DESIRED, BUT NOT NECESSARILY REQUIRED:*Powershell
scripting experience
Technical understanding of Citrix, System Center suite, proxy servers, CDN
Knowledge of various monitoring tools such as Nagios, SCOM, etc.
Experience using and working with APM tools such as dynaTrace, Gomez,
AppDynamics, New Relic
Technical understanding of application and/or operating system
virtualization
