Please share resume to mahe...@systelinc.com Position: Build Engineer Location: San Jose, CA Duration: 6 Months *Responsibilities: * Operate in alignment with LXPE program teams in planning and building labs. Managing shipping and receiving of lab hardware Track lab inventory through Cisco tools and systems Create lab physical and logical topologies based upon designs provided by subject matter experts. Lab build out which includes racking and cabling of assorted Cisco and third party gear, some weighing in excess of 100 pounds Configuring basic remote access for all products Assisting Cisco employees with automation of labs into the GOLD lab automation tools Maintain network and systems operational status Respond to requests and escalations for support by GOLD Labs clients Troubleshoot and resolve failures Maintain a clean and safe data center work environment *Experience/Skills Required:* Coordination, logistics, project management and technical networking skills. Communication/Customer support skills with servers & Cisco products. Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience, CCNA/CCNP *Familiarity with the following:* Cisco IOS and NXOS command set – boot management, image upgrade, configuration backup, console access, ROMMON Cisco catalyst and Nexus Switches – boot management, image upgrade, configuration backup, console access, ROMMON Implementation of VLAN's, DOT1Q Trunking, sub-interfaces, routing (Static, EIGRP, OSPF) Knowledge of Cisco routers/switches configuration – NAT, DHCP, ARP, Access Control Lists Knowledge of server hardware (Cisco UCS preferred), RAID and storage (SAN/NAS) Vmware vSphere 5 (ESXi, vCenter) Virtual Switches, cloning, building Windows/Linux VMs, VM troubleshooting. VCP a plus.
