*Windows Desktop Engineer LINCOLNSHIRE, IL 60069 Openings 6 Duration 1-2+ years Contract* *Must-haves* - 5+ years of Windows Engineering experience on the desktop side - XP to Windows 7 migration experience - Experience doing base image creation with Wintel (create the WIM) - and then working with the lines of business doing the testing, and take feedback to adapt it - Powershell scripting/ VB Scripting - Experience locking down and restricting the desktop and the browser *Plusses *- MDT - VDI/VMware/ESXi/View/ThinApp *Role* These Windows Desktop Engineers will be put on an XP to Windows 7 migration project where their responsibilities will include: Provide advanced troubleshooting for issues that appear to be related to base client operating system or any of the applications that are included in the standard client image. Strong understanding and experience developing or updating VB (Visual Basic) script, Microsoft Windows PowerShell, or other dynamic scripting language used to deploy OS and software Provide advanced troubleshooting for complex issues that appear to be related to the client operating system and/or any of the applications that are included in the standard client image. Continual process improvement in Windows client environment. Responsible for the definition, development, maintenance, support and documentation of the Windows client image.
