Must be able to assume responsibility for all phases of project development, work independently and interface effectively with all management levels and user areas. This position will provide applicant with exposure to an existing Customer Information File (CIF) in the Customer Information Management area of Consumer Banking. The majority of the work on the application pertains to CIF customer conversion activity and the ongoing support, maintenance and development of the new programs and interfaces. CIF performs both batch and on-line processing utilizing CICS screens accessing a complex IMS database. The application includes customized interfaces to about 100 applications within the bank. Candidate must be able to coordinate the development process for simple and complex assignments in the MIS Department including the responsibility for documenting design, providing estimates, programming specifications, development of comprehensive test plans and support of the Quality Assurance and User Acceptance test phase. Candidate is expected to prepare reports and recommendations on new banking concepts, product ideas and/or major systems. Duties include the following: implement routine changes; analyze and assist in the definition of business requirements; determine appropriate design; code technical and complex programs; diagnose and resolve problems of specialized processing; coordinate and communicate with software vendor; conduct analysis of existing systems and products to determine technical efficiency and effectiveness; provide consulting support on banking information technology platforms.
