Please send the resumes at alb...@cncconsulting.com Job Title: QA Analyst Location: Long Island City (part of Queens, NYC) Duration: 3 mths, Interview: in-person, The candidate will be part of a team to perform testing on a web built using .NET framework (ASP/C#/VB). Testing includes functional, usability and regression. The candidate will work closely with the project team to discuss the project requirements, find and report application issues and ensure that the applications meet business requirements, stable and work as intended. Some of the specific tasks will include: Meeting with project manager and development team to discuss business requirements, project testing timelines, testing scope, tasks and deliverables. Prepare detailed test cases that ensure full requirements coverage. Conduct test case review meetings and update test cases when required depending on feedback from project manager Conduct smoke testing for each build deployed to QA and determine if QA build is ready to test. Perform usability and functional testing to verify that the application conforms to the business requirements and work as expected by the business users. Record and report issues found on the application to project management and development teams. Assign defects and follow up with developers. Attend defect triage meetings to discuss reported defects and bring them to closure. Provide recommendations and suggestions to development team on the application usability, interface and screen design. Mandatory Skill/Expertise Strong technical and testing skills and hands on experience with the following HP testing tools - HP Quality Center. Experience in conducting manual functional testing and regression testing. Strong knowledge of SQL and database structures, including ability to query data. Experience in testing Java and .Net applications and have an understanding of the 3 Tier Architecture hosting. Experience in test requirements planning, test scripts generation and execution, defects reporting and tracking. Experience in writing detailed test cases and test scripts based on business functional requirements and technical specifications documents.
