Essential functions: Linux system setup and administration. Utilize analytical abilities and software design knowledge to analyze performance design issues. Evaluate design alternatives for enhanced performance of prototypes. Provide performance measurement and analysis using various industry benchmarks. Job Functions: The qualified candidate will have experience and/or training in performance analysis of storage systems. Should have knowledge of performance analysis tools, techniques and application benchmarks, such as vdbench. Working knowledge of Linux, and subject matter expertise in Web apps and Hadoop for analytics. Running benchmarks including lab work, technical writing and reporting. In addition, a highly desirable candidate will possess skills in Linux driver development, open source development and C programming. Education and Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in performance analysis is required. A Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, a Master Degree; or equivalent experience is required. Demonstrated ability to setup and tune applications, and the ability to run storage performance benchmarks.
