Job Title Network Engineer Primary Skill NetworkEngineer/Admin Duration 12 month(s) Position Type Contract Location SALT LAKE CITY,UT Job Description Network Management: • Investigate and diagnose faults. • Identify and coordinate resolution of conflicts. Confirm impact of fault (single / multi user impact) Maintain and operate custom monitoring toolsets. • Provide fault resolution. Troubleshoot escalated problems (WAN / LAN/caching / proxy, DNS / DHCP, strong authentication etc.) Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate team. Open & confirm approval of Change Request where needed. Perform testing after change. • Contact onsite support / vendor when needed Communicate status updates as needed. • Assign ticket back to ticket owner after resolution. • Submit Emergency Change Requests in Tools for all unplanned configuration changes. • Provide ad hoc statistical reports. • Provide scheduled statistical reports (e.g. # of events, trending analysis, etc. Provide inputs to Architecture design with an aim to make network more self sufficient & optimal. • Provide Tier 3 operational support and incident resolution for technology/ies of focuses Problem management - diagnosis, root-cause elimination activity, escalation, tracking and permanent resolution of complex incidents. • Maintain a high level of knowledge on the deployment of technologies.
