Job Description: They are looking to bring in a Visual C++ Software Developer to join their team to work on TKO project that consists of consolidating two product lines into one. JCI has an internal application called YORKworks that is used by each of their Sales Engineers in the field. The application is a complete Windows based software package used to integrate all required aspects from performance specifications and drawings to pricing. The package is made up of 8 different applications with 5 written primarily in Visual C++ and 3 in C#.Net. The sales engineers gather information from potential clients in regards to designs, conditions, etc and enter into the system. The application will then make recommendations as to what equipment to use and how much it will cost based on the input. Currently they have two main product lines that each have separate selection tools. These select applications are called Solutions XT and York Custom Platform . Solutions XT handles small to medium sized Air Handling units that are designed for buildings like restaurants and grocery stores as well as performance based units to cover areas such as hospitals. York Custom Platform handles larger complexes such as airports, sports arenas and hotels. The TKO project is going to take these two separate platforms and combine them into one application that will handle their whole product line of air handling units. Day to day responsibilities may include: - Working as a member of a 7 person product development to help on the TKO project - Designs, develops, documents, and implements software solutions in accordance with project specifications, ensuring completion within the planned time constraint and meeting the established objectives for quality, reliability and performance.
