*Location:* Tampa FL

*Contract:*  6 months plus

EAD, GC, USC



We are seeking a candidate to contribute to the development of an in-house
risk reporting application. The product has a web-based user interface and
is written primarily in Python. Day to day tasks will involve the writing,
testing, and documenting of Python code. The candidate will create new
code, repair existing code, and be expected to contribute to design and
engineering discussions.

This is a mid-level position.

*Required *

·         3+ years of hands-on experience in at least 2 programming
languages from the following list (experience means used in a significant
deliverable project):

·         C/C++

·         C#/.Net

·         Java

·         Python

·         Web Languages (PHP, HTML/CSS, Javascript) These count as one
language

·         Other scripting (Perl, Ruby, Papyrus, Lua, etc.)

·         All other languages

·         1+ year experience software development as part of a development
team (3+ actual developers), each contributing to the same product

·         Demonstrable understanding of Relational Databases and SQL

·         Solid Knowledge of Object Oriented Programming concepts

·         Understands component oriented design and API boundaries

·         General knowledge of operating systems and enterprise
infrastructures

·         Solid spoken and written communication skills

·         Strong problem solving skills

·         Has strong individual initiative

Preferred

·         Experience with the Python programming language

·         Web design and presentation skills

·         Knowledge of Cybersecurity Concepts

·         Prior experience in a large corporate environment

Additional information

Our Client uses a range of technologies as needed. They will tend to
standardize on a set of technologies, we will use whatever we need to solve
the problem. The preferred candidate will not be an evangelist for any
particular technology.

Long histories in single technology paradigms (.Net or J2EE shops) will be
questioned (though definitely not disqualified.)

The preferred candidate will be versatile, adaptable, and have a good
attitude and strong aptitude. Whatever the candidate does not know, they
will be expected learn as needed.
