*Main Function*

The successful applicant will become a member of the Prime Services trade
capture IT team. He or she will join the team working on development of the
Prime Transaction Manager (PTM).
PTM is a web-based, client facing transaction capture application
responsible for wire, equity, derivative, collateral management, and OTC
clearing processing real time. *PTM is the strategic tool for payment and
collateral management processing used globally in all regions.*

This role provides the opportunity to work on expansion of the application
to develop new services and products that attract new clients, increase
internal users’ productivity, and bring new business opportunities for Prime
Services

*Main Duties*

Reporting in to one of the team leaders in the group, the candidate will
participate in all stages of the development process –  implementation,
testing and deployment either alone or with other members of the team.
Application support will also be a part of the role.

The candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and
deployment of GUI components for the Transaction Manager application with
the ability to develop generic, reusable code following Prime Services
standards. The experience should be extremely strong in the front end. The
candidate should also be proficient with Java with ability to integrate back
end components with the front end. The candidate should be able to work
independently, as well as, in a team and has an eagerness to learn and pick
up new technologies. The candidate will be involved in full project
lifecycle, new development as well as maintenance and support of the
application.

*PTM is a distributed multitier J2EE application that utilizes the following
technologies:*

·         *Java 1.6, Weblogic 10, Microsoft SQL Server version 10*

*·         **Oracle Coherence Cache, Hibernate, Spring, JMS, JBPM Workflow *

*·         **Struts, JSP, Ajax, JavaScript, XML, JSON, Ext JS, Treegrid *

*·         **Eclipse IDE, Maven build*

*·         **Layered multitier design, J2EE patterns*


*Person Requirements*

*Must Have:*

Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in an IT or financial discipline.

Investment banking experience

  4+ years of heavy GUI development

- Proficiency in Ajax, JSP, Struts

- Strong GUI development skills, using JavaScript, AJAX, JSON

- Proficiency in Object Oriented design and programming

- Proficiency with Ant and SVN or CVS

- Eclipse IDE or similar IDE

 Intelligent, self-motivated individual who will fit well within an
established team.

Candidate must be used to working in a challenging and dynamic environment
and be able to perform well under pressure to hit deadlines.

Candidate must be able to communicate effectively both with business users
and with other technology teams within the bank for both support and
development responsibilities.



Preferred:



Mathematical or Computer Science or Financial related subject, but all
disciplines considered.



Must have a proven ability in gaining an understanding of existing
applications/systems quickly.

Understanding of Collateral, Wire processing, Prime Brokerage



- Java experience, ExtJs

- Efficient using Application Servers (such as Weblogic)

- Very good understanding of messaging and webservices solutions

- Strong experience of database design and/or technical architecture will be
highly valuable

- Hands on experience with Microsoft SQL Server

- Unit Testing
