Position: IT - IT Developer VI

Location: Austin, TX

Duration: 6+ Months

Job Description:

Minimal work direction needed, highly skilled and knowledgeable to the
position and provides best practicing sharing within work group.



Role and Responsibilities

This position is responsible for working interdependently with a team of
support personnel to develop and resolve business applications concerns
from customers in a timely and qualitative manner within the Motor Vehicle
Division of client.

This includes working with the support management to create and or utilize
technical specifications to provide enhancements and issue resolution to an
existing suite of applications currently in production, while adhering to
standards and guidelines within c;ient  MVS.

In addition, the support developer will be responsible for assisting with
existing efforts to improve or modify existing R&D efforts when customer
support is not required.

The candidate should have a solid understanding of object oriented
programming and programming principles, a solid understanding of .NET,
experience debugging and analyzing code, and working with team members to
ensure a high quality end product.



Qualifications and Education Requirements

* Minimum 5 years of experience coding in .NET environment with emphasis on
C# and SQL Server

* Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science,
Engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience. Relevant job
experience will also be considered in lieu of a degree.

* Ability to communicate effectively within the team to ensure current
organization standards and procedures are met.

* Experience with SQL Server 2008/2012, and NoSQL databases.

* Experience with HTML, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX, Visual Studio, Team
Foundation Server, and TFS Source Control

* Ability to lead multiple projects in as part of services and operations
team.

* Strong Release planning and management skills.

* Strong Data analysis, Object oriented fundamentals, domain design and
development experience.

* Client-facing expertise is required.

* Experience in the Agile methodology is preferred but not required.

* Excellent problem solving and interpersonal communication skills are
required.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Strong conceptualization, analytical, and logic skills

* Experience working within a distributed team environment is preferred.

* Must excel at working with peers within a team environment.

* Must excel at identifying, analyzing and resolving issues or concerns in
a timely fashion.

* Must enjoy working in an environment where the customer expectations
drive high pressure and high visibility to the support role.





Preferred Skills

* Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science from an accredited
university (PQ)

* Experience with object oriented programming (PQ)

* Experience with Agile development practice.

* Prefer candidates from Safety and Graphics Business group.

* Experience with Windows Azure platform and service-oriented architecture

* Experience with ASP.NET MVC, MSMQ, WPF, WCF, Unit testing, Creating and
consuming APIs (SOAP/REST)

* Knowledge of parallel processing, threads, and concurrency

* Familiarity with Test Drive Design (TDD), Behavior Driven Design(BDD) and
other development methodologies

* Relevant Microsoft Certification

* Experience in the Public Safety / Motor Vehicle industry
