Team responsibilities include: Support for the application servers hosting the Client’s internal/external .Net and J2EE web applications, middleware infrastructure (IBM MQ, *Message* *Broker* and webMethods), as well as Axway's Secure Transport. This position will provide technical specifications, design and develop * message* flows, plan new environment build outs, provide MQ/MB administration and support for middleware components. The candidate filling this position should also have a solid understanding of web services, UNIX, Mainframe, and be capable of mentoring other team members. *JOB FUNCTIONS* - Provide MQ, WebMethods and *Message* *Broker* administration, maintenance, and support. - Design and develop IBM *WebSphere* *Message* *Broker* interfaces. - Create technical designs, diagrams, test plans, and other documents required for administrative support and following the software development lifecycle. - Follow best practices to track and maintain all development artifacts through enterprise version control systems. - Participate in enterprise change control meetings and adhere to all standards and documentation requirements. - Harden middleware components using SSL certificates, MQ OAM security, and other security mechanisms. - Participate in code reviews for interfaces developed by team members. - Work with cross functional teams to support production incidents. - Provide project support for unit and system testing. - Provide 24/7 on-call support on a team rotation basis. - Train and mentor team members as necessary *BASIC QUALIFICATIONS* - The candidate must possess a four year technical or business degree and/or the equivalent of four years of Information Technology experience, in addition to demonstrating knowledge and experience in the following areas: - Experience with *WebSphere* *Message* *Broker* required. - Experience developing *message* flows with ESQL required. - Experience with UNIX required, Aix experience preferred. - Experience with mainframe programming and Cobol copybooks is preferred. - Basic understanding of XML, web services, database access, and security concepts. - Basic understanding of UNIX shell scripting. - Excellent communication skills for both a technical and non-technical audience. *ADDITIONAL INFORMATION* Web Application Integration Team maintains and support applications around the clock 24 x 7, and our responsibilities are supporting and maintaining web application internal and external running on .Net and J2EE technologies, middleware infrastructure (MQ, *Message* *Broker* and Web Methods) and Secure Transport. *Kipe Technology Resources* has been providing technical staffing services in the Portland area since 1991.
