Ø Adhere and contribute to evolving internal network processes and procedures in support of ITIL-compliant practices; Ø Manage change control and problem management processes for supported network infrastructure within a process driven environment. Ø Assist with network-centric task management and status updating in support of large multi-functional projects led by the Project Management office; Ø Identify, document, implement, and support network requirements for multi-vendor/component/topology projects; Ø Provide effective concise, timely, and consistent verbal and written communications to peers, customers, and management; Ø Collaboratively work with technical peers, customers, and leadership to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues in a critical data center environment; Ø Conduct and/or assist with the preparation of materials for presentations made to client and data center personnel specific to Networking topics; Ø Establish and maintain documentation regarding standards and policies surrounding deployment and administration of the network infrastructure as it applies to best practice industry standards; Ø Assist with or lead network-focused tasks involved with disaster recovery planning and testing services. Ø Provide mentoring services to junior team members *Minimum Requirements:* Ø Candidates should be familiar and comfortable working in a structured process driven Data Center environment; Ø Ability to organize projects from a technical standpoint and work with technical and business Project Managers to successfully implement an overall solution; Ø Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP concepts and implementations including IP sub-netting, VLSM, NAT, PAT(NAPT), QoS, and routing protocols ; Ø Experience supporting Layer 2/3 LAN and WAN switches and routers; Ø Must have a strong understanding of the OSI model as it relates to analyzing application flows end-to-end and be able to apply the knowledge while troubleshooting through-out the seven layers. Ø Strong knowledge of various protocols running at different layers of the OSI model including – TCP, UDP, ARP/RARP, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, FTP, FTPS, SFTP, PPP, ISDN, Frame Relay, MPLS, SONET, DWDM, IPSec, spanning tree, various VoIP related protocols (SIP, H323, H248, G711, G723, G729) Ø Ability to provide support for Layer 4 thru 7 traffic management/ load balancing and firewall products; Ø Strong analytical troubleshooting skills including the use of data analyzers and network sniffers to isolate problems; Ø Must have a strong internetworking background within a large enterprise network that maintains a 24 hour available environment with a 99.999 availability metric; Ø Must have a good understanding of IDS, IPS, and security scanning technologies Ø Must have a good understanding of encryption technologies including IPSec, 3DES, AES, PGP as it relates to Single User/Secure Client and B2B/Site-to-Site VPN’s including GET, DM VPN, GRE VPN; Ø Basic programming/scripting skills and RSA SecureID and other authentication technology experience a plus; Ø Must possess a strong data security background from both a logical and operational standpoint; Ø Experience working with vendor support organizations and managing a problem through resolution including the handling of vendor and internal escalations; Ø Experience with responding to and handling various audit requirements including the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard (DSS) audit, FFIEC, SAS70’s, customer requested audits, etc. Ø Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; Ø Must be available to work nights, weekends, and be included in a 24x7x365 on-call rotation. *Education:* Ø Graduate of an accredited college or university or technical school- appropriate work experience may be considered in lieu of degree. *Experience:* Ø 3-7 years of experience in a similar data networking environment; Ø Extensive experience with LAN/WAN networking products from Cisco, including routers, switches, and firewall devices such as PIX, ASA, and FWSM Contexts; Ø Strong skills with load balancing products from F5 Big IP, Citrix Netscaler, and Cisco; Ø Experience implementing and supporting Network solutions from Cisco, Juniper, Checkpoint, Nokia, and other network vendors as required; Ø Experience supporting large-scale enterprise and service provider networks, inclusive of international locations across the globe; *Certificates/ Licenses: * * * Ø *Cisco CCIE, F5 Big IP, Checkpoint, Juniper, and/or information technology specific certifications a plus.* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAP BASIS" group.
