*Location*: Reston, VA *Length*: 6 months w/option for additional time *Start Date*: 9.01.09 *Rate: * Open *Overview:* Consultant will be responsible for storage provisioning, storage network management (SAN and NAS), and backups & documentation for many diverse application systems and operating systems. Consultant will install, customize, and integrate the client’s USP- Hitachi Universal Storage Platform & Brocade technology in a *Sun* *Solaris & SuSe Linux enviorment.* * * *Requirements:* 1. Must have 3-5 yrs experience with *HDS platforms including **Hitachi Universal Storage Platform **USP-V AMS2000 & AMS1000, and 9585 (in that order*). Some EMC experience might be helpful a. *Storage administration & Provisioning (tuning & load balancing)* b. Data Migration c. Replication d. virtualization 2. Must have experience w/ *Brocade switches and directors exp* 3. Software requirements include: a. For USPV – HDvM, HTnM, SI, HUR, Replication Manager, HDP, HSCR, HTSM, UVM 4. Perform necessary storage infrastructure maintenance in accordance with internal best practices. 5. Maintaining multi-tiered storage infrastructure leveraging HDS hardware and software 6. Participate in the execution of the business continuance and disaster recovery plans. 7. Participate in the design and operational execution of the customer's storage disaster recovery process. 8. Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of the organization. 9. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be strong and effective communicator 10.
