Very hands-on role working closely with product team, executive team, business stakeholders, technology team, internal and external strategic partners to develop the Product Roadmap and to help define requirements for the next generation of products for us. This position is responsible for the analysis, design, development, testing, documenting, and support of all products and supporting tools. This includes web applications, data collection/communication systems, data transformation/loading systems, data analysis/reporting systems, mapping/QA tools, and implementation/process tools. *Strategic Direction * · Be able to positively impact the P&L of the product · Be able to carry out extensive market research, competitive landscape analysis to make decisions impacting a positive outcome in the P&L · Drive, create and manage the product road-map and keep refining it as and when required · Work with key stakeholders to understand business requirements and expectations in order to develop strategic direction for the product Development, and Documentation of specific projects. · Maintain knowledge of current and emerging trends in the industry, including all relevant areas of information systems that might be incorporated as new technologies into future systems. · Collaborate with sales, marketing, technical operations, strategic product management, technical product management, business development and other departments to determine competitiveness of new technologies and to develop new products. · Drive new capabilities and initiative for transactional processes and payment systems for customers *Product Development/Management* · Develop business requirements, functional review and user testing for specific projects within Product Development department. · Establish direction, goals and processes for each part of the Product Development, Quality Assurance, and Documentation project · Work with technical teams to ensure products operate to the documented specifications · Provide input and direction to application designers providing information on impact analysis, activity sizing, future impacts, risk analysis, etc.. · Collaborate with third party vendors to ensure that the vendor's strategic direction is in alignment with the organization's direction. · Communicate current and future statuses as it relates to current and future projects and direction related to these projects. · Prioritize requests from all stake holders · Taking full ownership and accountability of all product releases including UAT and sign-offs. · Forecast product revenue and growth models · Develop product marketing strategy including the customer acquisition model · Develop customer monitoring and retention strategy · Develop metrics to understand the customer behavior which would eventually affect the road-map · Negotiate and oversees third party arrangements with consulting companies and software vendors. · Work along other Product team members to provide an environment that fosters product innovation and development to meet and exceed customer expectations. · Communicate current and future statuses as it relates to current and future projects and direction related to these projects. *Project Management * · Make sure that the product team (including tech) adheres to the processes in place. · Assist in determining what resources are necessary to carry out development projects. · Develop and monitor quality goals for each application release. · Triage open customer issues · Assist in establishing unit testing and integration testing for functionality, limits, and performance. · Communicate current and future status as it relates to current and future projects and direction related to each project. *Support in Creation of the Product Development Team * · Participate in the hiring of the Product Development staff. · Assist designated team leads in meeting IT deliverables. · Participate in product design meetings and assist in the planning and decision making process. · Participate in product architecture meetings and assist in the planning and decision making process and final resolution. · Assist in escalation of product and services issues - delegate and follow through to resolution. *Sales Support* · Manage the roll out of assigned new products across multiple regions/demographics · Collaborate with other functional teams such as sales for developing marketing material, training material and new product presentations. · Participate in technical portion of sales calls. · Support technical questions and follow-up during sales Process as needed. · Assist in responding to Request for Proposals and technical questionnaires from potential clients. · Manage and maintain the sales oriented technical documentation and/or whitepapers. *Budget* · Develop product budgets for resources, marketing , operations and support. · Develop and monitor third party vendor budgets (contracts). *What you will need for this position:* · A Bachelor's degree (BS, BA) required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred in Computer Science or Engineering. · 5 + Years’ experience in Product Development rollout and progress management · Expertise in financial service products, preferably back end transactional products · Experience in a rapidly growing company in a new business line is preferred · Proven experience in product development. · Proven experience broad technical knowledge. · Advanced experience in all aspects of the software development life cycle. · Preferred: Advanced experience designing data base architecture; dimension modeling and database design. · Preferred: Demonstrated successful history in development and full deployment of products involving three-tier and four-tier architecture, web applications, real-time data communication systems, data warehouses, and data analysis/reporting systems. *Required Knowledge and Skills * *Strong Excel, PowerPoint and presentation skills required* · Transactional ecommerce applications · International, Multi National Product Coverage · Business Analysis, System Integration, Data Analytics & Sourcing · Early Stage Product Design – whiteboard, wireframing, to-market analysis, product valuation · Experience in working with large public company and financial institutions as partners · Ability to successfully manage projects, make analytical strategic development decisions to benefit overall product growth. · Strategic thinking and a demonstrated ability to provide and articulate the future vision for Product Development. · Excellent general management, leadership, and project management skills. · Ability to prioritize among many competing requests and initiatives, balance customer needs (both internal and external) with business priorities, and articulate the rationale behind decisions · Strong interpersonal, teamwork and problem-solving skills in order to deal with customers, business partners, staff and management from a variety of skill levels as well as different authority levels within customer and Premier Organizations. · Excellent communication skills as it relates to disseminating and gathering information to staff and management and marketing to prospective clients or business partners. · Flexibility in terms of dealing with changing priorities and dealing with multiple projects simultaneously. · Ability to understand technical issues and understand impact on projects, and effectively communicate these issues and impact to direct reports as well as other project stakeholders. *Desired Technology Skills* *Required:* *Should have knowledge and experience working with web and mobile products* *The below skills are not needed but are a plus if candidate has experience with them* · Data, Database, and Reporting Technologies: Data access technologies (JDBC, iBatis, Hibernate, etc.), SQL Server (TSQL, Replication, Stored Procedures, UDFs, etc.), JasperReport/iReport. · Data Transmission and Transformation Technologies: Data Junction, EDI/HL7, XML/XSD. · Web Application Development Technologies: Eclipse IDE, Java and Java related technologies (Servlets, Beans, JMS, JMX, JNDI, JDBC, etc.), Enhydra/Tomcat, XMLC, popular frameworks (Spring, Struts, Baracuda), UI technologies (AJAX, JavaScript, DHTML).
