*Interview : Phone hire* *Interview will be today or Monday .* *Needed candidates can start immediately * VMware Engineer: Job Responsibilities/Duties: - Provide system, network, and architecture planning and implementation Vmware products - Oversee installation, upgrade, and patching of the program systems and products - Participate in regular meetings with the engineering teams of programs supported - Provide implementation, configuration, deployment and ongoing support of the VMware vSphere server infrastructure hosting enterprise applications and all of its subcomponents (e.g. NSX, Distributed Switches, vCAC/vRA, vRO, Update Manager, Single Sign-on, vDP, etc.) - Provide management of multi-host environment through the use of vCenter (Windows installation and deployable appliance), including host and datastore clustering, DRS implementation and HA configuration - Develop technical and operations standards, procedures, technical documentation and metrics related to VMware products - Mentor team members on VMware products by providing guidance and instruction - Perform daily, weekly and monthly backups using VMware Data Protection appliance - Demonstrated track record setting up and administering lab environments in enterprise setting while achieving high levels of availability - Proficient technical skills in various editions of ESXi/vSphere platform (e.g. .5.x, and 6.x). - Proficiency with VMware software and services including vRA, vRO, vDP, vMotion (storage and host migrations), vSwitches/dvSwitches, SDRS and DRS, as well as HA configurations. Experience with NSX administration and deployments a plus. - Proficient level of ability to administer Windows and Linux platforms. Including Windows Server 2012, Windows 10, RHEL 5 or 6, Ubuntu Enterprise or similar flavors. - Candidates must possess experience in performing large scale upgrades of VMware environments and all of its components to new hardware supporting upgraded hypervisors, storage, and networking.
