*Job Title : Oracle Database Administrator Location : Los Angeles, CA ( only local consultants) Duration : 3 Months Rate : $50/Hr* MUST-HAVE SKILLS: 10+ years relevant experience in two or more of the following areas: Database Administration, RDBMS design and development, and client/server application. * High volume, high transaction previous experience essential. * Experience with On-line, 24x7 operations is essential. * Experience with Oracle 10G RAC & ASM Administration required (Solaris & Linux platforms desired) * Experience with Dataguard (physical and logical standby) is a must. * Oracle 9i or 10g certifications strongly preferred. * Strong knowledge of SQL, and PL/SQL. * Experience designing and implementing high availability solutions (RAC). * Experience with tuning and optimizing database performance (Oracle 9i and/or 10G). * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, System Engineering, or equivalent experience. * Works independently as part of a team, including cross functional teams. Interact with IT at all levels. NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS: Experience with OLAP technologies desired.
