Warehouse/Inventory, GL, AR, strong knowledge of Crystal Reports.

Scope: Vendor is to provide an experienced Oracle application
developer/Financial Specialist to move the current Oracle Inventory,
Warehouse Management, Order Management application off the Windows
environment to Linux or Unix environment. The problem with these systems
on the current Windows platform causes problems with the way the system
functions and workarounds are created. These systems work better in a
Linux or Unix environment. RIDOC purchased a toolkit which featured an
environment with a comprehensive Unix/Linux and Windows integration
management schema to manage Windows environments with UNIX commands. It
really does not integrate that easily. RIDOC had no choice at the time but
to move forward with the project with the environment in place. RIDOC also
wants to move forward with the barcoding/scanning capabilities for better
inventory/warehouse management as stated in the previous audit finding.

and easy accessibility. Work with the DoIT Enterprise Server Team setting
up Unix/Linux environment
Bar Code project at CDC : Warehouse applications use labels that comply
with Bar coding standards for Automatic identification and data collection
(AIDC). Bar code for data collection eliminates manual data collection,
improves data collection accuracy, and reduces time and labor. Bar coding
standards enable companies to encode, in bar code form, more information
than basic product identification. Use this type of supplementary
information (such as, Lot Number, Serial Number, License Plate Number,
Quantity, etc.) to improve the management of the supply chain.
Migrate all the Oracle application – Inventory, Accts Receivable, Accts
Payable, Order Management, Store Orders, General Ledger and USDA changes to

Job Title: Oracle Apps Developer
Location: Warwick, RI
Duration: 5 Months

The purpose of this solicitation is to hire an experienced application
developer with strong skills Oracle Warehouse/Inventory, GL, AR, strong
knowledge of Crystal Reports. Fixing issues with Crystal reports using
SQL, receiving and other minor problems.
There are several reports in the current Oracle Inventory program that are
generating incorrect information that have a direct impact on both the
State and USDA Commodity Programs. At this time a corrective action plan
needs to be taken to make the system whole so that the programs comply with
both State and USDA Commodity Programs. Items such as basic inventory
functions governing the receipt, storage and distribution of products need
to be addressed so that we have the ability to track the cycle of any
product from the original order to various stages of inventory levels, flow
of distribution as well as cost valuations. From the onset there have been
issues with that were not finalized and problems continue to arise. At
this point and time, staff are now entering information manually for both
the State and USDA programs which is the time consuming. The
consultant/contractor hired will work on several different reports that are
producing wrong information plus address issues within the system that the
RIDOC programming staff cannot address. Some of these issues may not be
report related and simply are a system issue (application) which needs to
be addressed to correct the problem. Since RIDOC staff has limited
knowledge regarding the Oracle Inventory application, we are relying on the
knowledge of the contractor to assist with the issues and provide some
knowledge to a RIDOC state employee. The reports are Crystal Reports with
SQL. They are all customized for the RIDOC – by a previous vendor.
Requires an experienced Oracle application analyst to the analyze current
problems with Oracle Inventory system and work with DoIT/DOC programmer and
Warehouse staff.
