NYCDuration: 3 yearsDirect Client PositionThe Sr. Project Manager will
provide effective day-to-day project management of the Payroll
Transformation Project. Interfaces with internal project team members and
management. Manages the overall coordination, status reporting and
stability of project oriented work efforts, ensuring that project
objectives and goals are met within agreed upon time, scope, resource,
budget and quality requirements. Responsible for key project deliverables
and shares responsibilities and accountability with the project leadership
team for the successful delivery of the project's outcome. Develops
detailed project schedules, works with team to maintain / update schedules,
integrates project plans and works with teams to resolve discrepancies
among schedules and availability conflicts with resources. Prepares written
status reports for project sponsor review. Previous experience managing
large enterprise implementations especially Payroll and Human Resource
systems is preferred. Candidate must be able to communicate effectively,
both verbally and written, with customers, co-workers and business contacts
in a courteous and professional manner. The Sr. Project Manager will report
to the Projects and System Administration team and interface directly with
IT Development, HRIT, Payroll Tax, Payroll, Senior Management and Third
Parties.Bachelor's degree and PMP Certification are required; OR - a
combination of other related certification(s) and/or ten or more years’
project management experience, preferably software implementations, may be
substituted for PMP Certification and/or degree.Extensive project
management experience and proven skill to ensure that project objectives
and goals are met within agreed upon time, scope, resource, budget and
quality requirementsKnowledge and hands on experience with Payroll and
Payroll related systems is preferred.Extensive leadership experience
directing the work of others and coordinate diverse cross functional
teamsAbility to lead and function effectively on a work teamAbility to
establish effective professional working relationships10+ years of
experience managing large implementation of technology projects, preferably
