*Data Modeling Engineer* *Location: Houston, TX or West Palm Beach/Palm Beach Gardens, FL* *Database Engineer* *6+ Month Contract* **upon offer, candidates must complete background check and drug test** MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES • Analyze, initiate and implement database configurations within the system per user business needs • Analyze operational and analytical data requirements by working with business and IT resources • Balance business requirements with technical feasibility and set expectations on new projects. Recommend changes in development, maintenance and system standards. Determine resources and timeline. • Test solutions and ensure it meets specifications. Present and validate solution with user. • Evaluate external vendors on new technologies and discuss issues, maintain relationships. • Migrate existing data structures from OLTP to OLAP • Assist others developers and DBA with deployment of database changes • Design and implement security solutions to protect organization’s data • Propose solutions to reduce database support TCO and increase RIO • Design and implement MDM solutions for data structures using best practices • Evangelize data quality metrics and best practices • Troubleshoot problems. Identify and troubleshoot systems and isolate the source of the issue. Diagnose issues and initiate appropriate actions for remediation to return the system to full operational status. • Design solutions to migrate on premises databases to cloud by looking at all possible option. • Work closely with enterprise architects and act as bridge between architects and DBAs.
