*Summary: *

Data Architect/DBA Lead, serve as liaison between IT Management, business
and development team. Work with business to analyze and document business
requirements, data requirements and review/propose/produce data
specifications (data/attribute definition, entity relationships, Entity
relationship diagrams, models (conceptual, logical and physical), database
technical architecture, related network architecture, related Disaster
recovery architecture, related security architecture, related high
availability architecture), governance and data/database solution for any
new/change to technology applications.



Work with the Technical Analyst and development team to ensure
specifications and technology solution is understood. Work with development
team to produce documentation for transition of technology solution between
environments such as development, testing, staging/UAT, production and
Disaster Recovery. Work with training team to document system scenarios,
data flow diagrams and identify roles impacted and helps develop a change
management/training plan. Conduct business process and data modeling
sessions and generate applicable scenarios for the technology functionality
for testing team.

·         Responsible to identify, assess, and document functional
requirements, risks and mitigation plans. Conduct research to determine if
solutions to business requirements currently exist within or outside the
business unit, and if not, whether new solutions are feasible.

·         Analyze impact of proposed solution across the business, develop
use cases to explain/demonstrate business requirements/specifications to IT
team and contribute a business or process perspective during design reviews.

·         Assist Quality Management team to ensure that requirements
documentation can be easily translated into test plans, and ensure that the
proper testing plans have been completed. Make sure data quality and
performance is enforced in all development and testing activities.

·         Facilitate implementation of new functionality through training
sessions, demos and development of appropriate documentation. Provide
relevant test scenarios for testing team.

·         Work with test team to develop system integration test scripts &
ensure test results correspond to business expectations

·         Work with business and other parties to document business
process, data flow, workflow, requirements and other technical artifacts
required for project planning activities.

·         Document technical requirements and design specification to
promote and implement Cloud architecture, data security and solutions.

·         Document technical requirements and design specification to
promote and implement software as a service solutions. Look for
opportunities for other cloud services

·         Document technical requirements and design specification to
implement infrastructure and ERP solution. Promote Cloud architecture

·         Document technical requirements and design specification to
implement infrastructure and Business Intelligence. Promote Cloud
architecture

·         Document technical requirements and design specification to
implement infrastructure to support all data operations and management.
Promote Cloud architecture

·         Document technical requirements and design specification to
implement infrastructure and Disaster Recovery solutions.

·         Document technical requirements and design specification to
implement health, transaction and performance monitoring of IT solutions

·         Document technical requirements and design specification to
implement non production environment and SDLC processes.

·         Document technical requirements and design specification to
implement development and management environment including project
management tools, SDLC tools, and performance monitoring and reporting
tools.

·         Document technical requirements and design specification and
implement (code as needed) shared services, micro services, and
applications

·         Research and validate hardware, network and infrastructure design
for data processing and management.

·         Document technical details for the above legacy systems and
modernization solutions

·         Analyze application code/scripts/stored procedures related to
above business processes to extract requirements and business rules

·         Lead effort to document requirements for enhancement and
modernization of above business processes and data modeling

·         Contribute to the Design of the enhancements to the above
business processes

·         Lead development effort for enhancements to the above business
processes

·         Participate as needed in the development effort

·         Lead the effort to rollout (deploy into production) the system
enhancements

·         Participate, as needed in the rollout process

·         Participate in planning for the enhancement effort. To include
cost estimates, scheduling and development of work breakdown structure

·         Participate in research and analysis of new technologies that can
be used to modernize the above business processes or facilitate the
analysis and development of the system enhancements throughout the project
lifecycle

·         Leads the process to identify and evaluate internal digital asset
capabilities and strengths. Assesses external digital opportunities and
threats as key inputs to making the best decisions on business strategy
given digital realities.

·         Leads the development of the digital business strategy and road
map, and ensures its integration with the enterprise strategic planning
process, and the resulting business strategy and plans.

·         Ensures that the enterprise is developing the digital assets and
capabilities that will be needed to survive and thrive in the midterm and
long term.

·         Acts as a champion and change agent in leading the organizational
changes required to create and sustain enterprise digital capabilities.

·         Defines and reports on metrics that represent progress against
digital goals.

·         Acts as a thought leader on emerging digital business models and
technologies, articulating the digital future and the enterprise role in it
internally and externally.

·         Builds and maintains external relationships in academia, as well
as with industry bodies, vendors and technology analysts to learn and
influence.

·         Own and lead development teams and projects directly.

·         Partners with the business to build digital talent in the
enterprise.

·         Define strategy to manage master data centrally, but distribute
work and accountability (stewardship) to the business.

·         Establish concentric business processes for data governance and
stewardship.

·         Strategize to use a centralized MDM group for facilitation,
rather than control.

·         Implement highest data quality. Use company knowledge from
earlier projects that struggled with data quality.

·         Provide a bridge role between development and the database,
communicating and, indeed, translating between different perspectives or
views about business operations using different vocabulary to match those
views.

·         Communicate and translate required business process capabilities
and outcomes effectively between business process areas and supporting

·         Model and enhance data models, business process diagrams and
other related models to capture business operations, data relationships,
and data domains, change requirements within defined opportunities or
projects, modeling both current and future state, typically using a
graphical modeling tool.

·         Ensure proper coordination between the IT organization and
process owners by defining conceptual and logical levels of detail in the
data and business process models.

·         Determine and document the impact of data and process changes for
the process owner.

·         Hand off process model and rule changes to a solution architect
to coordinate application design and development.



*Specific Skills Required: *

·         Have a proven history of working independently

·         Experience writing use cases and user stories

·         Must have a proven history of working with Agile

·         Experience setting up test scenarios

·         Experience/understanding of business process reengineering and
business modeling concepts, business systems development and analysis

·         Awareness of the business and IT strategy

·         Basic understanding of the company's business practices and
familiarity with the company's products and services

·         Strong analytical skills and writing skills, to include solid
experience in writing functional and technical specifications

·         Line of Business experience a plus (Risk and Finance Technology)

·         Background working with Procurements Services Systems/Tools is
plus
