*Need ETL DataStage Developer in NY - 6 Months contract!* Position : ETL DataStage Developer Location : NYC,NY(Need Locals for onsite interview) Duration : 6 Months *Need GC or USC!* Description: The ETL-data integration position has a detailed familiarity using IBM InfoSphere DataStage extracting data (structure/unstructured) from multiple data sources of varying complexity including flat file, relational, and complex hierarchical systems. This role requires expertise in Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, Data Architecture, Data Analysis, Data Modeling, Logical & Physical Database Design, Metadata, Reporting. Must know IBM InfoSphere DataStage ETL in combination with Netezza/PureData appliance. Have used IBM Datastage for at 5-8 years, in a unix environment Write Unix scripts Write PL/SQL code and/ or knows stored procedures Must know Netezza/PureData appliance The Datastage Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing and implementing data warehouse and other subscriber feeds for all IBM InfoSphere DataStage ETL processes . Using defined Source-target mappings, modify and create code compatible with the data model and the Netezza system requirements. Maintain documentation, project and resource management, performance tuning, security. Deliver design, development and validation of the IBM InfoSphere DataStage ETL application to integrate enterprise data with business data warehouse platform. Participate in design and development reviews with business. Work with Business and Technical teams to resolve source/target data issues and manage life cycle of the enterprise transformation rules to ensure integrity of data lineages. Activities will involve participating in Business Requirements sessions, project planning, assistance with functional and system specifications, developing technical specifications, developing codes in the IBM InfoSphere DataStage and other ETL platforms thorough unit testing, integration testing and implementation in production, including all required change control. Define development processes to manage life cycle of ETL codes with multiple developers in multiple environments. Production support of the overall ETL platforms and Data Warehouse related issues. Includes availability for monitoring the data console and responding to errors with SLA. Define and implement process management of ETL job scheduling and ETL Job dependencies, and job restart procedures. Audit final ETL products against the data warehouse platform and the sources Must Have: IBM InfoSphere DataStage ETL development and data integration skills Experience in a Netezza/PureData environment. Must be familiar with the PureData system requirements for obtaining the best performance. Must be able to analyze and tune existing jobs for efficiency. Hands-on experience with reading and loading high-volume Type 2 dimensions (SCD) in Multi-Dimensional Datamarts (Star Schema). Basic Qualifications: 5-7 years hands on experience in development of ETL programming in a major platform using IBM InfoSphere DataStage 8.x version. Hands on experience with Netezza or PureData Ability to work in a collaborative environment that promotes a team-based service atmosphere. Seek opportunities continuously for improvement and suggest ways in which procedures may be modified to accomplish tasks/goals efficiently and effectively. Effectively communicate technical concepts and work products orally and in writing. Broad knowledge of Business Intelligence Architectures, Methodologies, tools and integration with ETL processes and workflows.
