*Req: Sr. Systems Engineer (Linux/ SuSE exp) @ Chevy Chase, MD*
Location: Chevy Chase, MD (Phone then Skype) Duration: 12-36 months+ o *- Working knowledge of SuSE Manager.* o *- Working knowledge of SuSE Linux.* · Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: o -Be responsible for patching 5000+ SuSE Linux servers. o -Work with application teams to gather patching requirements and architect solutions to patch the servers without taking any down time for our applications. o -Evaluate, write up, and plan implementation of new technologies available to patch these servers. . o -Automate existing and new processes through the use of orchestration and scripting. o -Develop and publish documents and procedures on Client’s patching process o -24x7 On-Call support for production systems · Required Skills/ years of experience needed: A minimum of three years of experience in following: o -Experience with Linux Servers (SuSE Linux 11.3 or higher) and Virtualization Technologies (VMWare). o - Well versed with patching tools (SuSE Manager).
