*Oracle Database DBA/Developer (Performance Tuning)*
The database developer will assist in the support of Oracle 10g, 11g, and
12c Databases on Exadata, LINUX & HP-UX platforms. This role is responsible
for providing database support, performance tuning, and technology upgrades
on Oracle 10g, 11g, and 12c in both OLTP and OLAP environments. A core
function of this role is to troubleshoot and research issues related to
database performance, query performance, space management, and other
technical issues. The database Developer will be responsible for
implementing best practices in the design, deployment and management of
scalable, reusable and extensible integration components.. Communication
will be a key component as this job requires interaction with a variety of
internal teams at various levels concerning technical and non-technical
issues related to database infrastructure and performance.

*Responsibilities*
·         Works collaboratively within a solution team to design and
implement database solutions that are of high quality and cost  and allow
TD Bank, America's Most Convenient Bank to be the better bank in every
market in which it competes
·         Monitor database space and capacity, estimate sizing and growth
requirements
·         Performs ongoing database performance tuning, including review &
tune complex SQL statements
·         Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to solve
database level issues including availability and stability of the database
environments
·         Designs/support complex ETL processes and Oracle databases that
are highly performant and meet enterprise standards for availability and
fault tolerance in a secure environment
·         Assists team members in performance tuning and troubleshooting
ETL processes and queries under development and in production as needed.

   - Packages Oracle database scripts and deployment instructions for the
   DBA Engineering group to deploy to upper environments.
   - Participates in the design and development of large-scale data marts
   or changes to enterprise data warehouses.
   - Develops interfaces to enterprise metadata environments and ensures
   ETL metadata flows into the metadata environment accurately as part of new
   ETL development.
   - Defines and ensures adherence to best practices for ETL and database
   development into standard warehouse models and dimensional data structures.
   - Provides assistance to team members and may assume a lead role within
   projects

*Qualifications*

·         4 Year Degree or equivalent experience
·         10+ years of experience in data-base oriented development in an
enterprise environment.
·         Financial industry experience preferred
·         Experience with Oracle Database Administration (10g,11g, Exadata)
·         Experience managing databases larger than 10TB
·         Knowledge/Experience with database appliances (Exadata) data
guard, compression and backup tools.
·         Ability to perform both Oracle and also operating system
performance monitoring
·         Dimensional data mart experience required.
·         Strong skills in data structure analysis, and development of
stored procedures, SQL, and scripting in support of data transformation and
delivery
·         Strong skills in development and performance optimization of SQL
queries
·         Strong skills in design and development of relational data
structures
·         A good knowledge of the operating system(s) and proven scripting
skills in both Windows and Unix environments
·         Proven hands-on experience utilizing SQL, Oracle PL/SQL and SQL
Loader, Microsoft DTS and T-SQL, VBScript, and Perl, DOS or UNIX shell
scripting for manipulating large ·         volumes of data to and from
enterprise systems, as well as experience manipulating flat-files, EBCDIC
to ASCII conversion, and non-relational data
