(A rewrite of the existing system is expected to start in the 3rd quarter,
so this person will have the opportunity to get in at the very beginning for
this very large project.)
Mid-Senior Object-Oriented Java Developer
You will work with and across global teams to design and develop complex,
high-performance investment banking applications.
*Required experience includes**: *
· At least 6 years of development experience using Java (J2SE)
· Emphasis on the middle-tier / business-logic layer of the
application - that would include messaging (e.g. with MQ Series, Tibco, JMS,
etc.), multithreading, various design patterns, etc. [i.e. not JUST
presentation layer (JSPs, Servlets, etc.) ]
· True object oriented analysis, design, and programming (OOA/D/P)
background
· JDBC, Hibernate (or some other ORMapping tool)
· Experience in a Unix environment - with Unix Shell Scripting
skills
· Experience designing RDBMS tables and writing SQL queries, stored
procedures, etc. in Oracle or Sybase.
· Application design using UML to create design documents.
· Practical experience with WebLogic (preferably), WebSphere, JBOSS,
Apache/Tomcat, or other application/web servers
· Practical experience working on at least one mid to large scale
application
· Experience with large, distributed development teams is a plus
· Experience using Subversion, ClearCase, CVS, PVCS, or some other
configuration management/version control tool
· Any Financial experience is a plus, especially Investment Banking
