Primary responsibilities will include organizing the current budget components, developing controls across the areas, implementing processes to more efficiently manage the budget and reporting out on budget updates to leadership, executive office finance and other appropriate stakeholders. In this role, the Budget Analyst will be the primary resource assisting to develop the next year’s Fiscal budget. In addition, the Budget Analyst will play a liaison or “face off” role to various stakeholder in executive office finance and executive office budget organizations. Skills Required - Expertise in MS Excel in general - MS Office tools (MS Word, PowerPoint) - Ability to develop professional grade financial reports - Good oral communications skills - Good written communication skills - Ability to work effectively with others in other departments Skills Preferred - Excel Pivot Tables - IT Financial management (preferred, not required) - Financial forecasting - Adaptable to change Experience Required - Minimum 5 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Budgeting - Background in financial management, accounting, budgeting or similar - Experience in large and sometimes complex environments - Background in generating financial reports, budgets, etc. and presenting to management & stakeholders - Basic understanding of operational (ongoing) financial management and project (one time) financial management Experience Preferred - IT Financial management (preferred, not required) - Basic knowledge or software, hardware and maintenance licensing, costs, agreements (preferred, not required) - Contract management background or exposure (preferred, not required) Education Required Bachelor degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related*
