Please send the resumes at su...@cncconsulting.com Job Title: VMware Virtualization Specialist Location: NYC, NY Duration: 6 Months F2F, maybe phone initially if not local but will require a F2F SCOPE OF SERVICES Perform administration duties required to maintain the virtualized computing environment using tools to include vCenter, vSphere, and Lab Manager; Provide expertise in the design and maintenance required to ensure the high availability of the virtualized computing environment; Provide technical expertise and perform tasks for all related infrastructure projects, including business continuity and disaster recovery; Enforce, manage and create policies and procedures; Provide 24x7 support of the virtualized computing environment including after-hours maintenance and on-call duties; and architecting and implementing solutions in a multi-tenant environment. Mandatory Skill/Expertise At least 4 years of experience as a Virtualization Engineer. Design and implement disaster recovery solutions for VMware environments using Site Recovery Manager (SRM). Primary responsibilities includes the design, implementation, and performance management of large, pre-production and production Virtual Environment primarily of vSphere/ESXi 5.1 and 5.5 environments across several physical locations. Install, configure and implement ESXi, vSphere, guest server operating systems, network services, storage needs and tools. Develop, test and document standards for infrastructure design and implementation. Partnership with architecture team peers required, to ensure alignment of all related architecture processes, standards, strategies, and roadmaps. Provide technical and strategic vision about related technologies, and able to describe customized solutions to address complex environments. Ability to Analyze complex IT solutions with multiple vendors and agency IT teams and provide root cause analysis as required. Test and document implementation guidelines for new VMware technologies being deployed in the data center(s). Desirable Skill/Expertise Strong working knowledge of EMC Storage Strong understanding of Enterprise technology including SMP servers, storage arrays, storage networking, network protocols, and general connectivity in multi-platform enterprise environments Communicates effectively verbally, including excellent presentation skills to team members as well as upper management. Willing to work outside normal business hours, including weekends and nights, when necessary Advanced knowledge of VMware tools stack – vRealize Application Services, vRealize Automation, vRealize Cloud Management Platform, VSAN and EMC Virtual Storage Integrator VMware VCP preferred.
