Much of the work (about 80%) is hands-on development. * The core competencies needed are *1. **iOS development:* a. Produce very rapid prototypes of native mobile apps on iPad and iPhone b. Provide advice on design, user interface, functionality of mobile apps c. Tutor the rest of the team on aspects of iOS development d. Exposure to/experience with SUP (Sybase Unwired Platform - 2.x) e. Strong skills with various elements of iOS (data handling with JSON/Web services, view controllers & views, basic animations, etc). Ability work with & tweak open source iOS controls. f. Strong HTML5 and CSS3 for mobile web app development g. Excellent understanding of mobile app lifecycle from design to deployment h. Hands-on with the latest mobile OS (5.x) and the latest xcode (4.x) *2. **Additional skills:* a. Requirements gathering (verbal as well as written) b. Ability to work with informal requirements gathering methods c. Partnering with other iOS experts on the team d. Estimating developmental task timeframes e. Exposure to design skills is a huge plus (e.g. photoshop) f. Handling rapid requirement changes g.
