* Sybase Database Administrator* Location: Denver CO Length: 6 Months + Responsible for working with a Sybase DBA Team to build, deploy code and support production and test Sybase database environments. Primary duties and responsibilities include: • Install, configure and upgrade of software including code deployment. - 20% • Support database design and installation and problem resolution. - 20% • Implement database designs and updates for application releases and maintain database security. - 20% • Perform database tuning and refreshes. - 15% • Set up and maintenance of documentation and standards. - 15% • Perform database capacity planning. - 10% Bachelor's degree preferred. • DBA Certifications preferred. • Experience: Minimum of 6 years related work experience. Prefer 6 years to 8 years of related work experience. • Relevant experience as a database administrator, previous replication development and production support experience. Database Skills: • Sybase ASE 15.x production experience. • Sybase Replication Server experience. • Sybase Replication to Oracle, SQL Server experience preferred. • Sybase database troubleshooting experience. • Sybase performance & tuning experience. • UNIX operating system experience (AIX preferred). • Knowledge of Transact-SQL syntax, tuning and implementation requirements. • Need to be able to participate in a Sybase DBA on-call rotation. Computer Skills: • Limited knowledge of Microsoft Word • Limited knowledge of Microsoft Excel • Limited knowledge of Microsoft Outlook • Other Abilities: • Need to be able to participate in an on-call rotation. • Intermediate mathematics aptitude • Intermediate communication capabilities • Intermediate organizational abilities • Intermediate comprehension capabilities -- *Thanks,* *Naresh Kumar .
