Job Title: Claims Analyst Location: St. Louis, MO Duration: 6-12 Months These positions will not be processing claims – they will be working to understand the implications of claims that didn’t process correctly. They will need to have good analysis and critical thinking skills. From reading these resumes I want to think that they were doing more than just inputting claims into a system to process and if so, that could be a very good background. Verify and process member submitted pharmacy, and designated agency claims forms, members’ eligibility and pharmacy information displaying superior, timely, and accurate data entry proficiency providing accurate and timely processing of claims submitted by member, pharmacy, and designated agency. Sufficient knowledge of drugs and drug terminology. Process claims according to client-specific guidelines while identifying claims requiring exception handling. Navigate daily through several platforms to research and accurately finalize claim submissions. Provide internal and external oral and written communication with departments, members, pharmacies or agencies to resolve claim issues, while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Prioritize and coordinate influx of daily workload for claims processing, returned mail and out-going correspondence and e-mails to assure required turnaround time is met. Assess accuracy of system adjudication and alert management of potential problems affecting the integrity of claim processing. Analyze claims for potential fraud by member or pharmacy.
