Position :  Java Developers
Location : Hartford, CT
Duration :7 months

Job Description
Should possess strong integration design and development skills using
technologies such as Java/JEE, Groovy, Spring, ESB.
Lead or key contributor on a team of software engineers for one or more
scrum teams
Design, implement, test, debug and document integration solutions and
enhance existing components to ensure that software meets the business
needs
Contribute to the design and architecture to enable secure, scalable, and
maintainable software and should be able to clearly articulate the
implications of design/architectural decisions, issues and plans to
technology leadership
Provide hands-on leadership, coaching, mentoring, and software engineering
best practices to junior software engineers
Develop reusable patterns and encourage innovation that will increase team
velocity
Collaborate on the design with other team members and product owners, both
inside and outside the scrum team
Estimate engineering work effort for engineering team and effectively
identify and prioritize the high impact tasks
Conduct design and code reviews to ensure code developed meets or exceeds
coding best practices guidelines, unit testing, security, and scalability
and maintainability guidelines
Drive a quality mindset within the team
What software tools/skills are needed to perform these daily
responsibilities?
Middletier development/integration developer
Java/JEE
ESB
Spring
Restful
Test driven development
What skills/attributes are a must have?
See above skills
BS degree or equivalent experience
Minimum 6 years software development experience
Minimum 2 years as a lead software engineer or leading a team of software
engineers
Hands on experience with middleware technologies (e.g. Spring ESB, RabbitMQ
or others)
Demonstrated success in building design patterns and software engineering
best practices
Experience designing software for scalability and resilience
Exposure to Hibernate could be helpful but not a must have
