Business Analyst WIth ServiceNow Experience *Location: West Des Moines, Iowa*
*Duration: 6 Months* *Interview Method: F2F (Skype if not local)* *Skill Set: Financial BA – Service Now Experience* This is a 6 month contract position. We are looking for a strong BA with experience, however are willing to give on the ServiceNow background, as we are ultimately looking for a great BA candidate. ServiceNow experience is a plus! PURPOSE: Serves as a project/ leader or a project team member, on assigned projects, in identifying system requirements, analyzing processes/workflows, compiling data, assessing scope/risks, and implementing solutions. ACCOUNTABILITIES: • Applies interviewing and facilitation skills to interface with business and technology stakeholders to understand business needs while providing system knowledge • Serves as a subject matter expert on various source systems. • Translates needs into effective business and functional requirements and source to target mapping documents; designs may change business practices, workflows and systems • Employs business analysis techniques to create business and functional requirements. • Analyze source system concepts and interfaces, business workflow and processing to understand impact in the data. • Define the correct source of data, analyzing its quality, calling out gaps and documenting the results of data usage. Creating clear technical documentation to be used for development of the solution. • Participates in business process changes and designs and documents system solutions to support the new processes; • Partners with Quality Assurance (QA) to identify and document testing considerations, develop traceability matrices, provides system expertise and assists with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) • Embraces change and assists in guiding others through change; anticipates and escalates conflicts as needed • Adheres to EPMO process framework, including governance standards, audit control, architecture, and financial management • Continually increases business acumen and source system knowledge to improve business analysis, instructions for the technical design and personal skills • Develops relationships with project team and IT members • Participates in business systems analyst peer review sessions presenting business/functional requirement and technical mapping documents and offering advice to other analysts • Prepares clear, concise, and timely verbal & written communication; possesses the ability to tailor the message to the audience • Assist with gathering requirements for and building RFI’s and RFP’s QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and applicable work experience • Formal business analysis training preferred EXPERIENCE: • 2+ years of progressive, successful business systems analysis experience • Understand and employ business analysis concepts (business process modelling (BPM), context diagrams, use cases, user stories, entity relationship diagrams) • Knowledge of IT Asset Management Functions and Practices preferred • Knowledge of or experience with ServiceNow Service Catalog and/or Asset Management preferred • Familiarity with Service Catalog Taxonomy and Nomenclature preferred • ITIL V3 experience preferred • Ability to read and understand the syntax of programming language and an understanding of enterprise data management • Experience using Microsoft Office products (Excel, Access, Visio, Project, PowerPoint), and SQL • Experience with Project Management and Software Development Life Cycle methodologies (SDLC) • Experience in the annuity, insurance or financial services industry preferred Regards: Sam Williams - Recruiting Manager ITBrainiac Inc.
