Denver, CO Job Description The BI Systems Developer is a mid-level position responsible for design, implementation and ongoing management of the company data architecture, including the EDW, departmental data marts, and integration queries and software. *Key Responsibilities:* - Lead projects that build out, enhance, and maintain the company data environment, including modifications and maintenance of various ETLs, transactional data sets, and company data assets. - Create data warehouse and data mart structures to support the ongoing reporting and analytics efforts of company departments and executives. - Provide insight into specific improvement efforts around data governance, information security, data set optimization, and data integration. - Manage data access, data quality, and data delivery tasks within the framework of specific company BI and IT projects. - “Ad hoc" reporting as required to answer specific inquiries posed by the management team. - Work assigned projects and trouble tickets, delivering results within promised timeframes. - Validate & ensure production level functionality/style is thoroughly tested and the code reflects the current standards. - Help the improve data accuracy through error reporting and process improvement. Job Requirements - MS SQL, MySQL, PL/SQL, or a combination of all. Knowledge of .Net or PHP is a plus - Knowledge and experience with MS SQL and associated data management and reporting tools including SSRS, Power BI, and SSIS. - Knowledge of Source Code Management (SCM) systems like Git. - Education and experience typically obtained through completion of BS in CIS or related discipline or appropriate certifications and testing. - 3-5 years experience in BI development, data warehouse development, reporting, and analytics, or a combination of all. - Clear prioritization skills and ability to manage tasks independently or with minimal guidance. - Ability to work within IT team or with other department managers and team members. - Above average written and verbal communications including some basic experience with business presentation. - Strong problem solving and decision making skills. - Experience in Sales Force tools and systems a plus. - Experience in CRM data, call center data, or sales data a plus. - Experience working in telecommunications or cable industry a plus.
